Dear Sir,

RE: CASE NO. L0900306
MJ HYDE – V – M ALCOCK

I write further to my letter of 26 March 1999. I now enclose a copy of a letter dated 31 March from the Lowestoft County Court advising me that you had not, as of the date of that letter, contacted the court since the issue of the summons.

As you will be aware, it is a condition precedent of the Suffolk County Council’s offer to settle your claim for unpaid salary that you contact the Court immediately to withdraw your action against the Chief Fire Officer.
I look forward to hearing from you as a matter of urgency that you have formally withdrawn your claim. You will need to do this by writing to the Lowestoft County Court, quoting the case number and I should be grateful to receive a copy of that letter in due course.

Once I have received confirmation from the Court that the case has been withdrawn I will advise the Fire Service Payroll Department in order that payment can be made to you as previously agreed.
Yours faithfully

Alexander
