The Suffolk Hyde Affair - Doc 24 Suffolk Fire Extinguishers

During the afternoon Temporary Assistant Divisional Officer Saward asks to speak to Y in his office. T/ADO award shuts the door once Y has entered.

T/ADO Saward then informs Y that he intends to withdraw his Temporary promotion to LFf from 1st February 1999. T/ADO Saward refuses to explain his decision. In consequence a heated discussion ensues.

Later the same day when T/ADO is absent from the station Y obtains a copy of a Suffolk Fire Service message pad entry, which is to all intents and purposes in the hand of T/ADO Saward. It is reproduced in type below
